 Chad Waggoner, OD

Chad Waggoner, OD

Chad Waggoner, OD, is an optometrist at Specs Appeal, serving patients in and around St. George, Utah.

Dr. Waggoner earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri, St. Louis School of Optometry in Columbia, Missouri.

While at the university, Dr. Waggoner’s training included an internship at the American Lake Veterans Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. He also interned at SureVisions Eye Centers and Koetting Associates in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Waggoner is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Optometric Physicians of Washington, and the Utah Optometric Association. He’s the president of the Olympic Society and a national liaison for the American Academy of Optometry.

From his experience and education, Dr. Waggoner has become skilled in completing comprehensive eye exams, refractive surgery evaluation, and medical management of ocular disease.

​​​​​​​Before moving to St. George, Utah, he lived in Olympia, Washington. When he’s not working, Dr. Waggoner enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, fishing, photography, and playing the guitar.

Reed Gibb, OD

Reed Gibb, OD, is an optometrist specializing in treating various eye conditions at Specs Appeal in St. George, Utah. He joined the practice in 2004 and enjoys working closely with his team and patients.

Dr. Gibb received his associate’s degree from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. He then attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, earning a bachelor’s degree in zoology and minoring in business.

Dr. Gibb received his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. While there, he received the university’s BSK Chapter Award for Exceptional Research.

Dr. Gibb completed his residency in primary eye care at The George E. Wahlen Departments of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Utah Optometric Association.

​​​​​​​At Specs Appeal, Dr. Gibb specializes in optometric management of cataract surgery, retinal diseases, refractive surgery, glaucoma, and intravitreal injections for macular degeneration. He also has extensive training in anterior and posterior segment photography.
